Cancer Awareness and Screening at Mahiga Primary School in July 2015

Cancer Awareness Centre of Kenya organized a FREE CANCER SCREENING AND AWARENESS EVENT on 11th July, 2015 at Mahiga Primary School grounds at Kahawa West, Nairobi – Kamiti Road from 8.00am. The Guest of Honour was Hon. Patrick Ngaruiya –MCA Kahawa West. Various Organizations including Coptic Hospital, Avenue Health care, Kenya Cancer Association, Radiant Hospital Pangani among others, supported the event.

Congratulations! … to The First Lady of the Republic of Kenya, Her excellency Margaret Kenyatta, for taking the leadership of Forum of Africa First Ladies Against – Cervical, Breast & Prostate Cancer during the recently held 9th SCCA Conference in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Forum of Africa First Ladies Against Cancer is intensifying advocacy and galvanizing action towards attainment of adequate human, technical and financial resources. This continental initiative is working towards the attainment of universal access to screening, treatment and care for all cancers including children.

Commitments by the Government of Kenya, to put up additional cancer treatment centers in Kenya is a bold step towards lessening the burden of cancer.
